In Who Is Salt? — Suspicion 1, Mouono enters the secretive world of espionage, drawing inspiration from stories of spies, double agents, shifting allegiances, and the ultimate question of loyalty.
 
The figure appears watchful yet unreadable. Behind the luminous, absent eyes that characterize Mouono’s visual language lies an unsettling ambiguity: are we looking at the observer—or the one being observed?
 
Within the artist’s own cultural context, Canal+ becomes a metaphor for an outside presence that has quietly entered everyday life—familiar, almost invisible, yet capable of watching, transmitting, and influencing what passes through our homes.
 
Created on a parabolic satellite dish, the work makes that idea physical. An object designed to receive signals from afar becomes the surface for a meditation on surveillance, infiltration, secrecy, and suspicion.
