Bringing Africa to my living room
Being a man of African origin who grew up in Europe, I have always had within me the burden to reconnect with my origins.
Besides travelling to the continent (which I am still very much eager to do), African music and art strongly appeal to me.
I have requested the artist Mawu to come up with a piece that celebrates the richness, beauty and diversity of the African continent.
Mawu delivered a colorful composite piece made of precious stones and various fabrics. It is a unique blend that my family and I really enjoy seeing in our living room every day.
