INSPIRATION
She is Wambui, from the Kikuyu community. Wambui is a vibrant, living canvas, her very name resonating with the ancient melodies of the Kikuyu heartland. She embodies the song of the earth, her spirit a rhythmic echo of the ancestral drums that beat through the verdant hills and fertile plains of her heritage.
Originating from Kenya, the Kikuyu people are the country’s largest ethnic group, renowned for their deep-rooted traditions and close connection to the land. This painting reflects that heritage, where every beat, name, and gesture is woven into the story of the earth itself.
