Heirs of Memory is a powerful portrait that captures a moment of quiet resilience. Three figures sit side by side, their postures commanding yet unassuming, as they gaze directly at the observer.

The white circles in place of their eyes form a bridge between the present, past, and future. Not depicting the eyes is a purely aesthetic choice. By looking at these white circles, the observer plunges deeper into the work, offering a multitude of possibilities for escape. These white circles are an essential element of the artist’s work. As for the helmets, they symbolize the protection of memory (located in the brain).

The goose picture in front of the central figure represents the guardian of memory, as geese are considered to have excellent eyesight and are described as vigilant and curious, with a strong territorial instinct.

There’s a timeless quality to the men’s expressions—a blend of wisdom and vulnerability—as if they are guardians of a collective past, entrusted with the memories of those who have shaped them.
