INSPIRATION

Among the Luo people of Kenya, the name Akinyi belongs to the first breath of morning. It is traditionally given to a girl born at dawn — that quiet threshold between darkness and light, when the world begins again in silence.
 
In Luo culture, time is deeply symbolic. Names are not chosen randomly, but woven from the rhythms of nature, the movement of the day, and the spiritual atmosphere surrounding birth. Through this tradition, a name becomes more than identity — it becomes a living connection to the moment one entered the world.
