When I came across Courage’s work, especially his Memories series, it stirred some memories and old emotions in me. I think his work beautifully expresses the influence of our memories on our personalities and daily lives, whether they be good or bad memories. I couldn’t resist contacting him to learn more about his concept, which I find so interesting.

So we organized a Zoom call, during which I discovered Courage’s artistic world and learned more about his own story, challenges, and artistic projects.  He gave me a better understanding of the socio-economic challenges of being an artist in his region (Imo state) of Nigeria.

Despite these challenges, he has been working for decades to realize his dream as an artist, and his determination has only strengthened mine to help such dedicated artists thrive.
