The ‘colorful cocktail’ that Kezna serves us through her art plunges me into a state of euphoria and introspection worthy of a good bar. As I “consume” her works, the bittersweet truths come out.

Indeed, Kezna’s art has the power to make me laugh out loud as well as question myself more seriously on themes such as self-love, sexuality, emotional vulnerability, feminism, and racism.

Whatever subjects Kezna tackles, I find she does so with inimitable artistic subtlety and tact, all masked under bold lines and explosive colors. In my opinion, Kezna sure knows how to communicate through her art.

When we met via Zoom, Kezna told me all about her artistic journey, from discovering her artistic gift and practicing regularly as a child to taking numerous art classes as options in high school (even though there was no formal art program), to post-secondary and university studies in political science, to finally returning to her passion and establishing herself as a full-fledged artist in 2019.

Throughout her journey, Kezna never stopped creating and developing as an artist, which makes her the incredible artist she is today. She reminds me how important it is to believe in yourself and your potential.

Kezna’s dream is to continue sharing her artistic gift with the world, raising awareness as she has always done so well, in a colorful universe rooted in optimism and positivity.
