Men are often tagged by society and gratified by cultural norms as strong and resilient, but only when they do not shed a tear. From a young age, they are groomed to believe that masculinity is exhibited through aggression, toughness, a lack of emotion, DIY skills, and dominance, to name just a few.

This toxic stereotype attached to the male gender has caused more harm than good, leading these men to suffer in silence, burying themselves under the weight of their emotions in an attempt to match societal standards.

“Men Also Need Flowers” is a narrative that debunks and contradicts the ideology society has instilled in us over the years. Just like women, men can be emotional, vulnerable, empathetic, and resilient. These traits define true masculinity.
