INSPIRATION

This is the first piece of my new series entitled ESCAPE (which I’m launching along with the KONECTIONS series). This series stems from my deep need for adventure and freedom, and my insatiable desire to discover nature in all its beauty and peacefulness. It was inspired by my recent vacation in the wilderness of Quebec’s National Capital Region, where I felt detached from city life and completely in tune with the artist in me.

Since I got back from vacation a few weeks ago, all I can think of is going on another adventure. So in the ESCAPE series, I aim to travel, discover new havens of peace, and take you with me, while perfecting my still-life technique.

For this particular piece, I simply let my intuition take over. Nothing about this piece was planned. This way of doing things is becoming an increasingly important part of my creative process, and I enjoy it.
