Building Context
For a long time, I watched people fall in love with artworks online.
And then hesitate.
Not because they didn’t love the work—
but because they couldn’t quite imagine it in their own space.
Art deserves context
I’m an artist—not a developer.
When I began building Mawu Art – View in Your Space, I knew very little about coding.
What I did know was this:
Art deserves context.
Scale shifts emotion.
Context changes perception.
If that cannot be felt, something essential is missing.
So I built the plugin—slowly, learning as I went.
Later came MawuARtview, a mobile app—more ambitious, and far outside my comfort zone.
Translating imagination into confidence
These tools were never about technology for its own sake.
I built them to remove hesitation.
To help collectors experience scale.
To allow artists to be seen fully.
To let context replace uncertainty.
For me, technology is a form of translation.
It translates imagination into confidence.

FEATURED ARTIST
FAITH OKORODUDU
I was immediately drawn to Faith Okorodudu’s work—fearless in color, layered in meaning, and deeply rooted in the complexities of identity.
Her paintings move effortlessly between intimacy and monumentality, celebrating African life with honesty, strength, and grace.
There is joy in the palette.
There is dignity in the figures.
And beneath the vibrant surfaces lies a quiet invitation to reflect on who we are, where we come from, and the stories we carry.
STUDIO INSIGHT
When I preview artwork at true scale, I’m reminded that size is not technical—it’s emotional.
A painting that feels overwhelming in one room may feel perfectly at home in another.
Context changes everything.
Art belongs in context.
