I love the harmonious way Ariel’s dots of paint come together to create works of striking depth and beauty. His works give me the impression of being constantly in motion, like the particles of our material world (according to scientists).

My amazement at Ariel’s art prompted me to contact him to find out more about the artist and his artistic world. A few weeks later, we met via video call.

Ariel grew up with a passion for drawing. He finally found the opportunity to fully express it when he enrolled at the École supérieure d’arts plastiques, d’architecture et de design (ESAPAD) (Ivory Coast), where he perfected his art and gradually developed the magnificent style he’s known for today.

Having always been fascinated by the world in motion and the interactions between human beings, his art reflects his perception of the links between people and their environment, as well as his own relationship with them.

For Ariel, the dot represents a point of union; it is synonymous with a connection, new or old, with our surroundings, with others, with life, and with the world, because everything in our world is made up of relationships.

It’s with this in mind that Ariel creates, with his countless dots, a whole chromatically rich world of hallucinating beauty that leaves me breathless.

Through his art, Ariel wishes to remind us that it is through the cohesion of several elements that harmony is achieved. In other words, we must unite to move forward. He wants to communicate this message to his generation and to future generations who will gaze upon his works.
