INSPIRATION
I created this piece for the Afro Urban Festival (3rd edition) which celebrates the art and culture of Afro-descendants in Montreal (Canada). Through this work, I wanted to illustrate the cultural and musical influence of Afro-descendants in the city of Montreal. That influence is particularly noticeable during popular summer festivals such as Nuits d’Afrique, Haiti en Folie, and Carifiesta, which combine music, parade, and dance in a blaze of color.
