INSPIRATION

This painting alludes to the legal tender or currency of Nigeria. It was inspired by the observation of the indispensable nature of “questions” in mankind, regardless of race, region, or ethnicity. The painting incorporates symbolic elements, one of which is its title itself.

It likens every man or woman to a book written by an author, and with every book comes a prologue meant to be read by the reader. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many readers. In the context of the painting, it tells of the possibility that many people have not read the prologue of their lives, which are books. More often than not, the consequence of this is unanswered questions that arise in a person’s life, sooner or later.
