I think Derrick’s works are a true tribute to African beauty, whether human, animal, or cultural. I could contemplate them for hours, so beautiful and profound are they.
I can’t even imagine my reaction if I saw his work in person at an exhibition. I think I’d be very tempted to buy one or more (the kind of compulsive purchase I would hardly regret).

Anyway, I’m delighted that virtuoso of the brush has permitted me to publish his work here. Such talent certainly deserves to be shown to the world and beyond.
